Below I will tell you in more detail how to make Mojito compote from apricots for the winter. The amount of ingredients is calculated for 1 liter can. You can take dried mint, but then the compote will need to be filtered. Compote is prepared quickly and easily without additional sterilization.
Prepare all ingredients.
Wash the apricots, cut in half, remove the pits.
Scald the orange with boiling water, cut into slices. Be sure to remove the seeds so that the compote does not taste bitter later.
Place apricots, orange and fresh mint in a clean, sterilized jar.
Gently pour hot water from the kettle into the jar almost all the way to the top.
Cover the jar with a lid. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
Empty the jar into a saucepan. Add citric acid and sugar, stir. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 minute.
Pour the resulting sugar syrup into the jar. Screw on the cap tightly. Turn the jar upside down, wrap it in a towel and leave it until it cools completely. After that, the compote can be stored in a cool and dark place.
Compote “Mojito” from apricots is ready for the winter.
